B is for Blenheim

Caenys Kerr, Author

Blenheim (pron. Blenim) is situated at the northern end of the South Island of New Zealand. It is most noted for being the major population centre of the renowned wine growing region of Marlborough. The kids would love a trip down to that part of the country because it meant a ride on the ferry across Cook Strait from Wellington to Picton and then a short half hour drive – and then another ferry ride to get home again. The crossings were not always smooth!
